How we protect your data

Secure call recording

Call recording is an essential feature for training, monitoring and complaint resolution. That's why every Xelion licence includes it. But you need to be sure that recordings meet your compliance obligations. With Xelion, it's easy. You can decide which users have access to play back calls, and the retention period is adjustable to your requirements.

Backups

Data backups are a standard part of the Xelion service. Backups are made in different ways and at different times: both of the entire server and of individual telephone exchanges. Xelion also has a unique cross border backup method where essential configuration can also be stored in another data centre. We do everything we can to keep your data safe.

Data centres

Xelion can be hosted in various data centres. Often, for regulatory reasons, it's necessary to process your data in your own country. At Xelion, that is no problem at all. We can also make direct interconnections from one data centre to another. If you prefer, you can even purchase a private cloud in one of the available data centres.

Data retention

Xelion uses data to improve your customer service by making connections between callers and members of your team. If a caller has previously spoken to an employee, then thanks to these connections the caller can automatically end up with that same employee again.

Data processing

Xelion never shares data with third parties for analysis or product improvement. Your data is and remains safe with Xelion. With the parties that are used for sending text messages, for example, or generating speech-to-text messages, we have made clear agreements on how to handle the data to be processed. You can trust us that we handle all types of data that Xelion processes with the utmost care.

ISO 27001:2023

Everyone at Xelion understands very well that the confidential data of companies must be protected as much as possible. We are extremely aware of all potential risks and take measures in advance to minimise conceivable risks. We regularly perform pen tests and work with a BUG Bounty program to detect and remedy vulnerabilities. An important part of ISO 27001 is the testing of disaster recovery scenarios.

Privacy-by-default

By default, Xelion applies the principle of least privilege. This means that the administrator must specifically indicate who has rights to what. This also applies to many features. For example, we have a super handy function where you can see which colleagues have had contact with a person or organisation. Or a conversation overview where you can see who is having a conversation with whom. This is all disabled by default and must be specifically activated.

Security-by-default

At Xelion, you can trust that security is the standard. When developing new features, information security is paramount. We always carefully consider whether and what risks there are. If there is a potential risk, we simply don't make it. New features are always independently tested by both internal and external testers.

Roles and rights

Administrators can grant specific rights to users per user for access to queues, settings, communication, call recording, etc. A supervisor also needs specific rights to listen in on an agent's conversations. With the special tool Xelion Park Manager, you can manage all rights and roles.
